Super Saturday & Reminders

Hello Dear Sisters!

We are excited to announce 34th Ward Super Saturday on October 23rd!! We have planned some neat things. Whether you are into being crafty or not, this will be a wonderful day.

We are privileged to have a guest speaker, Natalie Marti, coming to teach a an uplifting class. You may remember her story in the news eight years ago when her husband and baby were killed by a drunk driver. She has become an active advocate in the effort to fight drunk driving, but she has also become a popular speaker sharing her message of how her hope in Jesus Christ sustained and strengthened her through the ordeal, as well as her path to forgiveness.

There will be a self-reliance presentation and display table, not to mention a delicious homemade lunch!

The first craft project you may choose is the gorgeous temple picture on the black frame board. When you order, you may choose from the available temples pictured in the attachment. The estimated price for this project is $22.00. (This looks quite similar to very expensive pictures sold in stores). You may personalize the picture with your special date for an additional $5.00. This price will include the board, paint, mod podge, use of tools, and your picture. Wood prices fluctuate and I will have the definite price ready for you on Sunday. This will make a fabulous Christmas gift as well.

The second craft project you may choose is the cute letter blocks. We will cut the letters and blocks for you. The price is $1.00/block. You will need to bring your own scrapbook paper for the backgrounds. We will provide some basic embellishments. The example shown here is a Thanksgiving theme. This is cute for any holiday, season, or do your children's names for a room decoration. Use your imagination!

You may place your orders at the display table on Sunday, and please plan on getting your payment to Sister Loomis no later than Sept. 30th. You may reach her with any questions at 226-6503.

**** Remember the "Positive Discipline" parenting class on Tuesday, Sept. 28th at 7pm at Sister Graham's home. (Note the change of location from previously announced). This will be taught by Leana Weaver, a child psychologist and Love and Logic trainer. Should be terrific!

**** Don't forget the Relief Society General Broadcast this Saturday, Sept. 25th, with dinner served beforehand at 4:30. It is always a wonderful evening!

**** The Humanitarian Services Office is doing a diaper drive collecting...(can you guess??) diapers! They are accepting both cloth and disposable. Collection will take place at the stake center after 3pm this Saturday.
